Osborne Clarke in Bristol advises Plenitude on acquisition of specialist financial advisory provider Contineo

Lawyers at Osborne Clarke in Bristol have advised Plenitude, a portfolio company of Growth Capital Partners (GCP), on its acquisition of financial risk solution provider Contineo.


Plenitude is a leading financial crime and risk compliance firm and has acquired Contineo to enhance its specialist technical advisory and data analytics services.

The acquisition marks Plenitude’s first M&A activity and will drive more efficient and effective financial crime risk management solutions for its clients.

Contineo’s provision of specialist Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) tech advisory services will support Plenitude’s growth strategy, supporting its ambition to be the leading specialist tech advisor for innovative and AI-enabled FCC technology solutions.

GCP is a long-standing, valued client that Osborne Clarke has advised on numerous matters, including its investment into Plenitude in 2022.

The Osborne Clarke team advising on the latest transaction was led by Bristol-based corporate partner Chris Yeo, along with Hannah Stevens and Gemma Boucher (also corporate) and Jonny Squires (tax), who are also based in the firm’s Bristol office.

Also involved were Shauna Poole (corporate), Ian Solomon (commercial) and Lara Fatemi and Dan Charie (employment).
