Father’s Day at Westerleigh Group crematoria
Westerleigh Group’s crematoria are marking Father’s Day with a number of different events and activities to enable families to commemorate the lives of their loved ones.
North Wiltshire, Sedgemoor, Test Valley, Torbay, Treswithian Downs, Wessex Vale, West Wiltshire and Westerleigh crematoria are all inviting local families to visit and pay tribute to their fathers or father figures.
Westerleigh Group is the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
The group’s Chief Executive Officer, Debbie Smith, said: “Father’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their father or father figure.
“Every year, we welcome many families to our grounds who come to lay flowers and commemorate their loved ones.
“We hope that many families will find comfort by visiting us again this year, whether they wish to take part in any of our services or special events, or just visit our picturesque, peaceful, grounds for their own private reflection and remembrance.
“People can feel their losses more deeply at certain times of the year, like Father’s Day, and that’s why it’s even more important for us than usual to engage with families and give them the opportunity to pay their respects.”
Some of Westerleigh Group’s crematoria are hosting special Father’s Day Services of Remembrance. Others are inviting people to light candles,or write personalised messages which to be placed on memory trees, others are holding moments of reflection in the days leading up to Father’s Day.
