International Paramedics Day returns on July 8th

This year, the theme for International Paramedics Day is What Paramedics Do. On July 8, the College of Paramedics, the professional body for paramedics and the ambulance profession in the UK will come together with more than 60 global paramedic associations, higher education institutions and affiliated organisations to raise awareness and create a better understanding of the breadth and depth of work carried out by paramedics around the world.

Walking Words

Bristol Stanza Group and Lyra Festival present 'Walking Words'. Both a book and a digital walking trail, accessible through a mobile app where spoken versions of the poems are triggered on your mobile phone as a participant walks past the specific poem sites. The book, published by Bristol Books is based on the poems and is on sale throughout the Lyra annual Bristol Poetry Festival, which this year runs from April 22 to May 1.
