Evelyn Partners named headline sponsor for inaugural UK schools padel tournament in Bristol

UK PADEL is delighted to announce that Evelyn Partners, the wealth management and professional services group, is the headline sponsor for the inaugural UK PADEL Schools and School Alumni Championships.

The event will be held for the first time on 28th and 29th September, at Rocket Padel in Bristol.

Thanks to the vision and support of Evelyn Partners, this sponsorship will allow children from any secondary school in the UK to take part for free and experience playing padel at one of the best clubs and events in the UK.

UK PADEL believes padel is the best sport to engage the widest possible range of people to get exercise, stay healthy and build community.

Nick Baker, CEO at UK PADEL, said: “We are so pleased that Evelyn Partners shares our vision for getting children active through sport.

“Together we want to use the impact of the UK PADEL Schools and School Alumni Championships to help to lift up the awareness of padel as an easy to pick up, fun, dynamic and social sport and contribute to having a significant positive impact on the physical health and mental wellbeing of a broad cross section of the UK.”

Andrew Middleton, group chief marketing and commercial officer at Evelyn Partners commented: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the inaugural UK PADEL Schools and School Alumni Championships.

“Our involvement in the tournament will help us support the next generation of this rapidly growing sport and we look forward to a really successful event.”

After launching the highly successful UK PADEL County Championship events in 2023, these new events are inspired by the camaraderie of school competitions to create an unforgettable and recurring annual championships, engaging school age pupils and their alumni with padel up and down the country.

To help padel events to flourish at school age group level we encourage padel enthusiasts to contact their old schools and spread the word about this competition, and also sign up their teams for the School Alumni Championships.

This year the schools championships will be focused on secondary schools, but UK PADEL is hopeful that as the tournament grows in future years it can offer different age group events.

Each school team consists of four to six players and there will be running girls, boys and mixed events. The schools event will be played on Sunday 29th September, with the school alumni event played throughout the weekend.
