Clarke Willmott backs Major Trauma Awareness Week
National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP is supporting survivors of catastrophic injury during Major Trauma Awareness Week this week.
The campaign, which aims to increase help and awareness for the thousands of people who experience major trauma every year in the UK, runs until Sunday, 22nd September.
It is run by national charity Day One Trauma Support, which campaigns on behalf of survivors of catastrophic injury to have access to the emotional, practical and financial support they deserve.
Earlier this year the charity encouraged people affected by major trauma to participate in a therapeutic writing project. ‘The Dear Me....’ project involved victims writing a deeply personal message back to themselves at an earlier time in their recovery.
Lee Hart, partner and personal injury team manager at Clarke Willmott, has worked with many people who have suffered life-changing injuries, and their families, and helped to secure the best medical treatment, rehabilitation and support available, as well as much needed compensation for past and future financial losses.
“Cases involving life-changing injuries, such as brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputations, where there are long-term and often complex implications, require specialist consideration and dedicated teams working diligently to help rebuild damaged lives,” says Lee Hart.
“Everyone in this terrible situation should have access to the emotional, practical and financial support they desperately need and deserve.
“That is why the work done by Day One Trauma Support is so hugely important, and why Clarke Willmott as a firm is getting fully behind Major Trauma Awareness Week.”
