Hoteliers predict a very starry night in Bristol

Preparations are already well under way for what promises to be a very starry night in Bristol as the city celebrates and honours its hospitality heroes.

The sixth Night of the Stars event, which is organised by the Bristol Hoteliers Association (BHA), will take place on Thursday 7 March 2024, when it returns to Ashton Gate stadium.

The BHA is delighted to have already secured the support of nine sponsors, which will ensure that the glittering gala can go ahead.

BHA Chair Raphael Herzog said: “This is the biggest event in the BHA’s calendar but we simply would not be able to do it without the support of our sponsors, so we are extremely grateful to them.”

A record 420 guests attended the fifth Night of the Stars earlier this year, and Mr Herzog said he hopes the next one will be even bigger and better again.

He added: “It was wonderful to see so many people at the most recent Night of the Stars for a very welcome celebration of success.

“People are the most important asset in our businesses, and it is so gratifying to be able to recognise the many stars of our industry in and round Bristol.

“The continuing support of our sponsors is a huge vote of confidence to our hard-working teams and the hospitality sector, which makes a significant contribution to the city’s economy.

“We are still living in very challenging times, so it is heartening to know that, for one night at least, we will once again be able to come together and recognise all that is good about the hospitality scene in Bristol.”

The annual Night of the Stars event also includes a raffle to raise valuable funds for a local worthy cause.

The fifth celebration raised more than £3,500 for Bristol Autism Support.”

The process for award nominations will begin towards the end of this month, in nine categories, all of which have secured sponsorship.

They are:

  • Employee of the Year, front of house: sponsored by Ashton Gate.

  • Green Initiative: sponsored by the Bristol BID team.
