Evelyn Partners hosts workshop for Bristol businesses preparing for their first audit

Growing businesses facing their first audit can get expert help at a practical workshop in Bristol organised by Evelyn Partners, the leading integrated wealth management and professional services group created from the merger of Tilney and Smith & Williamson.

The free event on November 16, which is being held at Evelyn Partners’ Bristol office in Portwall Place, will explain what to expect from a first-year audit and offer top tips on getting audit ready.

Speakers include Helen Bassett, who heads up the firm’s business outsourcing services team in Bristol and audit director Sam Cooper, who is head of Evelyn Partners’ Entrepreneurs’ Group in Bristol.

Also taking part are audit manager George Oliver and Lauren Alee, who is a manager in the firm’s business outsourcing services team.

Sam Cooper said: “The aim of this interactive workshop is to help you prepare for your first audit.

“Many businesses find themselves requiring an audit at short notice, often due to growth, acquisition or raising finance. Without prior planning, the audit process can be exceptionally challenging and have a significant impact on your finance team’s ability to perform their day-to-day role.

“The workshop will offer a detailed insight into the audit process and the actions that you can take now to ensure that the process runs smoothly.”
