Osborne Clarke advises Western Global on £90m transaction backed by MML

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the shareholders and management team of Yate-based Western Global, the leading provider of industrial liquid storage and dispensing products, on an investment from MML Capital.

Founded as a family business, Western Global is the leading provider in Europe and North America of portable tanks and dispensing equipment for the storage and handling of fuels, lubricants and other fluids.

MML’s investment means the company can continue its strong growth trajectory as the leading platform in the liquid storage and dispensation market, particularly into the USA. At the same time, the company will continue to expand its product range and technical capabilities to meet market needs.

The Osborne Clarke team was led by Bristol-based partner Alisdair Livingstone with support from associate director James Taylor, senior associate Ashley Morris and associate Andrew Massey in the corporate team. Additional support was provided by associate James Hamon (tax), associate director Nick Haywood and associate Alex Farrell-Thomas (employment) and senior associate Jon Round (commercial).

Osborne Clarke’s corporate team is considered a go-to practice across multiple sectors, working with global businesses to fast-growth start-ups and market challengers. The team advises at every stage of company development across all corporate issues, from equity and debt fundraisings to M&A, IPOs and JVs.
