Entrepreneur and philanthropist to appear at Smith & Williamson webinar
Entrepreneur turned philanthropist Marcelle Speller OBE will be talking about her career at a webinar next week being hosted by financial and professional services firm Smith & Williamson.
Marcelle, who lives near Bath, is appearing at the online event organised by Smith & Williamson’s Family Wealth Group at 5pm on Tuesday, 12th January.
Smith & Williamson Partner Rupert Phelps is hosting the event, entitled “An Entrepreneur’s Journey Through Business to Impact.”
Marcelle’s business career included building and selling holiday-rentals.com, Europe’s first holiday rental website, and founding charity platform Localgiving. Her latest venture is Brevio a social enterprise aimed at revitalising the grant application process in the third sector, by creating more impact and reducing administration. Marcelle was awarded an OBE in 2011 for services to the voluntary sector.
