Evelyn Partners hosts US trade visit to Bristol
Evelyn Partners’ professional services business hosted a delegation of US business representatives in Bristol who were on a fact-finding visit to explore commercial opportunities in the South West.
Representatives from New York, Texas, California, Chicago and Boston met with local business leaders and companies during a networking event at Bristol’s Riverstation restaurant.
The gathering was part of a visit organised by the Department of Business and Trade for US and UK companies looking to expand and invest overseas.
It was the latest initiative involving Evelyn Partners aimed at strengthening commercial links and opportunities for South West businesses looking to invest in the US, and vice-versa.
Dominic Gibbs has just returned from the US to lead Evelyn Partners’ business outsourcing services team in Bristol. He completed an 18-month secondment in New York with CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) through the international accountancy network CLA Global, which was co-founded by Evelyn Partners.
Dominic worked in CLA’s Manhattan office with the firm’s global advisory team which supports fast-growing, cross-border businesses. He said the Bristol networking event with visiting business representatives from the US had been a great success.
“The event was a fantastic opportunity to explore transatlantic trade and investment prospects and gave a diverse range of businesses and individuals the chance to the chance to investigate opportunities throughout the US, and understand the benefits that each state has to offer,” said Dominic Gibbs
“The event showcased the range of experience and expertise that’s on hand to help businesses navigate the challenges of international expansion.”
