This acquisition is part of the wider strategy to build and acquire leading companies that support the healthcare system to improve patient outcomes, reduce total cost of care and ensure a fair and sustainable value chain.

Midlands-based Hugo Technology provides medical and laboratory equipment repair and maintenance services to global medical device original equipment manufacturers and has 85 employees.

The corporate team at Clarke Willmott was led by partner Ed Foulkes and included Simon Smith, Simon Thomas, Cormac Hayes, Amy Peacey, Irene Richardson, Sarah McLarty and Louise Rogers.

Ed Foulkes, who is head of the firm’s national corporate team, said: “We are delighted to have assisted Asker Healthcare on this transaction, its first acquisition in the UK. The group has significant growth plans and Hugo Technology fits perfectly with its ethos.”

Johan Falk, CEO of Asker Healthcare Group, said: “Having signed and closed on the acquisition of Hugo Technology Limited, we would like to thank Clarke Willmott for their excellent work and all the support during this process.

“We are pleased to welcome Hugo Technology and their competent team to the group. They have over the past 25 years built a strong reputation among quality OEMs and on the UK market.

“With this add-on acquisition to CRS Medical we further strengthen the position within the growing area of technical services, and we see many possibilities for the two companies to benefit from each other to support the customers even better.”
