New Operations Manager for Camelot Care

New Operations Manager for Camelot Care

Specialist dementia care provider Camelot Care has appointed James Marchant as the group’s new operations manager, overseeing quality and service delivery at four homes in Somerset and Devon.

James, who has worked in the care sector for 32 years, comes to Camelot Care from Care South, where he was regional operations manager.  Before this he worked for six and a half years as quality director and area director with HC-One. He has also been quality consultant and regional support manager for Bupa Care Homes and operations manager with Voyage, as well as spending time as a registered manager for both organisations.

Paul Teasdale, director of Camelot Care, said: “We are delighted to welcome James to our team.

“He has impressed us with his breadth of understanding of our sector and his enthusiasm for delivering top quality service for residents – which is what we’re all about.”

James Marchant said: “I admire Camelot Care’s approach to dementia care and the way they always put their residents first.

“The fact they have many long-serving team members among their staff, in an industry where turnover is notoriously high, says much about the way they work.

“I’m enjoying getting to know everyone and look forward to making a valuable contribution to the business.”

James Marchant lives in Taunton and is married with three children and two dogs. Outside work he enjoys running, cycling and playing the piano.

Camelot Care runs specialist dementia care homes in Bridgwater, Wellington and Yeovil in  Somerset, and Plymouth in Devon. More details at www.camelotcare.co.uk
