Mama Bear's makes list of Top 20 nursery groups in the UK

Mama Bear’s, a nursery group founded and based in the South West, has been named one of the top 20 childcare providers in the UK.

The list was compiled by renowned early years review site DayNurseries.co.uk and is based on personal reviews by parents or caregivers who have experienced the nursery provision first-hand.

The annual Nursery Awards 2023 recognises the best nursery groups in the country with Mama Bear’s named in the ‘Large Nursery Group’ category for chains with more than 10 settings.

Set up by husband and wife team Tony and Bev Driffield in 2004, the Mama Bear’s Day Nursery & Pre-School group runs 23 settings across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Somerset and Devon.

Mama Bear’s owner Tony Driffield, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be listed as one of the top 20 nursery groups in the UK for another year running. This is a really trusted, reputable and prestigious guide so it’s an incredible achievement for our amazing, hard-working staff.

“Everyone in the childcare industry is finding things tough at the moment with few spaces and a tough recruitment landscape. So to win something like this is fantastic as it means that the families we care for are pleased with the service we provide.

“We work really hard to ensure we provide the highest standards of care and early years education at all of our settings across the communities in the South West that we cover.

“Thank you to our wonderful staff who constantly go above and beyond and to all the families who took the time to review us.”

Mama Bear’s Day Nursery was established with the aim of making high-quality, affordable childcare available to families living, working or studying in the South West.

Mama Bear settings can be found across Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Somerset and Devon and aim to provide children with their first vital level of education to give them a head-start when they start at primary school.
