Launch of second show home marks successful first phase at The Chocolate Factory

A new show home has been launched at The Chocolate Factory development in Greenbank as the first phase is now almost completely sold out.

With only one home remaining at £395,500 on the first phase, the new show home will give house hunters an idea of what is to come at the development before the next larger three- and four- bedroom homes with parking are released.

The three-bedroom show home has been designed by award winning Bristol based designers Main Interiors and offers a different perspective to the two-bedroom show apartment they completed recently in Elizabeth Shaw House.

Jasmine Main, head interior designer at Main Interiors, said: “We were so excited to be asked back by Generator South West to create a new show home at The Chocolate Factory.

“This is a new build home, so very different to the apartment we did previously. These three- bedroom houses were a dream to style, with extra wide staircases and curtain windows letting in lots of light - quite the opposite of many of the Victorian terraces in the area. It’s no surprise they have been so popular with buyers even before they had a chance to view a show home.

“The inspiration was ‘Japandi’, a mixture between Japanese and Scandi styles but we’ve also tried to incorporate inspiration from the local BS5 community with the colourful artwork and the sustainable products used throughout – something we know is increasingly important.

“The tones are very monochromatic black and beige with lots of brightly coloured accessories to give a relaxed and modern look alongside plenty of foliage to add life to the rooms. We dressed the three-bedrooms as two doubles and a home office to show people how the space could be used in different ways but we also show how an area of the living room could be used as a work or play area – the internal design of the house has the flexibility to adapt.”

Having laid derelict for years, developers Generator South West are breathing new life into Greenbank and once complete The Chocolate Factory will boast apartments, houses, a public landscaped square, café/bar, community hub, retail units, workspace and direct access to the Bristol and Bath Railway Path.

Mya Castillo, sales and marketing consultant for the project, said: “It is exciting to be opening our new show home at The Chocolate Factory. New homes provide a fantastic blank canvas for people to make their own mark on but it’s sometimes hard for buyers to envisage themselves living in an empty house. Furnishing and styling a house really helps create a vision of what their home could be like.

“There is a real mix of homes at The Chocolate Factory from factory conversions to new build and we are seeing good interest from buyers looking to purchase the next phase off-plan.

“Six of the first seven homes are under offer and the next phase will be launched shortly. BS5 is a hugely popular location in terms of proximity to the city centre, access to fantastic schools and a lovely community spirit so we expect interest to be high.”

The Visitor Centre and Marketing Suite will be open Thursday – Monday from 22nd April with viewings by appointment.
