Clarke Willmott acts for communications specialist on multi-million Brighton mainline infrastructure & communications contract

National law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has supported technology solutions company AD Communications (AD Comms) in their engagement as a main sub-contractor for an infrastructure and fibre services project being undertaken on behalf of Cellnex UK and Network Rail on the Brighton Mainline.

AD Comms, has been engaged by Cellnex UK, the concessionaire under the Network Rail agreement, and will be undertaking survey, construction and maintenance work at key stations and along the rail route.

The project will provide the infrastructure to deliver continuous mobile connectivity from London Victoria and London Bridge stations (via Clapham Junction and East Croydon) along the full-service line to Brighton to improve the travel experience for rail customers. A cross-office team from Clarke Willmott’s Southampton and London offices worked on the deal.

Hayley Steel, a partner in the Construction team at Clarke Willmott, led on the project. She said: “This deal has been complex due to scope of the project and the detailed survey process required ahead of construction. It has also been time-pressured due to a need to tie this agreement in with other contracts related to the scheme and the need to mobilise quickly to support the delivery of the project.

“Myself, and the rest of the team were pleased to deliver in a timely manner on the deal which also sees AD Comms provide support services post construction.”

Hayley Steel was supported by Simone Protheroe, a solicitor on the Construction team in London.

Clarke Willmott is a national law firm with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
